When a transfer is worth doing
A balance transfer moves your outstanding loan to a lender offering a lower rate. It is generally worth it when your rate is at least 0.25 to 0.5% above current offers and you still have several years left, because the saving compounds over the remaining tenure. Set against that are processing, legal and valuation fees, usually ₹10,000 to ₹25,000. Send us your loan statement and we will work out the exact figure for your case rather than an estimate.
